You can search the Library using learning topics or keyword search to quickly access specific Lessons and Articles.
Note: Some organizations have access to a limited Blue Ocean Brain Library consisting of specifically curated Lessons. The following article applies to organizations accessing the full Blue Ocean Brain content Library.
The Blue Ocean Brain (BOB) Library contains thousands of Lessons on a variety of professional development topics. There are two ways to search the Library: Learning Topic Search and Keyword Search.
Learning Topic Search
On the left side of the Library landing page, find the topic buttons under the "Discover Learning Topics" heading.
Note: If your organization has any company-specific content or educational webcast recordings, those options will be available here as well.
To explore a topic:
- Locate the desired topic and select that link.
- Select a subtopic or lesson to explore.
- Selecting a subtopic displays Lessons that address that particular topic.
- Selecting a Lesson opens the first Article of that Lesson.
- Select LOAD MORE RESULTS to reveal additional Lessons within the specific topic or subtopic.
Note: To view all subtopics within each Learning Topic, select BROWSE at the top of the page or BROWSE ALL under Discover Learning Topics.
Keyword Search
To search using a specific keyword or words:
- Enter the desired search terms into the box labeled "Search for skills and topics" at the top of the page.
- A dropdown menu containing 5 suggestions based on the search terms will appear. Either select one of the suggestions, or press enter to view all search results.
- Select LOAD MORE RESULTS at the bottom of the page to expand the list of results.
- To change how results are sorted, select the dropdown menu under "Sort Order", and select either "Relevance" or "Newest".
- To change the type of results that are displayed, select the dropdown menu under "Type" and select "All", "Lessons", or "Articles".
Note: A BOB Lesson is typically made up of three Articles.
