How do I access Blue Ocean Brain?

Blue Ocean Brain content may be accessible through email, website, mobile device and/or intranet, depending on your organization's unique set up.

Thanks for your interest in Blue Ocean Brain (BOB)! We're excited for you to explore the content. There are many ways to access depending on your organization's unique set up.

  • Email Access: Your organization may have Blue Ocean Brain micro-communication emails delivered to your inbox. They are sent from team@blueoceanbrain.com, so make sure to add us to your "Safe Senders" list! If your organization has micro-communication emails delivered to you, they will be sent on your company's delivery schedule (Monday through Friday; emails are not delivered on the weekends).
  • Website Access: Your organization may allow you to access Blue Ocean Brain via the website, sometimes referred to as the the portal or platform. With website access, you may have a username and password or will login via single sign-on. You may be able to read and save Lessons, complete Brain Exercises and Teasers, access past content through the Library, and view your personal learning progress with points.
  • Mobile Access: If your organization has set up website access, you may also be able to access via the mobile app. The app is web-based, so you'll need to make sure your mobile device is connected to the internet. The app is great for any Learner on the go.
  • Intranet Access: If your organization has set up Intranet access, you may be able to access Lessons through a link in your company's LMS. The Lesson will contain three Articles that you may read and discuss with your team.

Email Access

To access via email, open the email delivered from team@blueoceanbrain.com to your company inbox. The email subject line will be the title of the Lesson. You'll see a preview of the Lesson in your email. Selecting the image or link will direct you to the entire Lesson in your browser or app.

Note: If your organization offers proprietary Article content in Blue Ocean Brain, you will need to login to Blue Ocean Brain in order to access.


Website Access

If you already have a Blue Ocean Brain account, sign into your account (How do I know if I currently have access to Blue Ocean Brain?):

  1. Sign in to Blue Ocean Brain: When you visit www.BlueOceanBrain.com, you will see the "Sign In" button at the top of your screen.  Select "Sign In", and you will be directed to this page:LogIn BOB
  2. Input your email address/username: Enter your company email address/username. 
  3. Input your password: The next screen is the password screen. If you do not know your password, select the "Forgot Password?" link to reset your password. You will then receive an email to reset your password. Password Page

Note: If you see your company's single sign-on page instead, you do not have a Blue Ocean Brain password for your account. Sign in to your organization's single sign-on page to access BOB. If you've forgotten your company login credentials, please contact your organization's IT department.

You will then be directed to your account. If you haven't accessed before, you may be prompted to reset your password and review the User Agreement.

Mobile Access

You may access on your mobile device through your device's internet browser; however, we recommend that you access through the Blue Ocean Brain app. You may download the mobile app for free in the Google Play or Apple Store.

Once you download the app, you will be prompted to login the same way you would on the website. The app will display the same login and password screen (if your organization uses a password for access). If your company uses single sign-on for BOB, you will input your email address/username, and you will be the directed to input your company's login credentials.

What do I do if I can't access Blue Ocean Brain from my mobile app?


 

Intranet Access

If your organization has enabled intranet access, Blue Ocean Brain will be located in your LMS. If you're unable to find the BOB intranet access link, please contact your Learning Leader(s).

When you find the Blue Ocean Brain link in your LMS, simply select the link to access. You will be directed to the Lesson of the day/week, and may explore other Articles from there.
